By working together to design, build, and compete with innovative robots, we aim to foster leadership, creativity, and critical thinking. Our team is dedicated to inspiring a lifelong passion for STEM, preparing students for future academic and professional endeavors, and contributing to the advancement of technology in our community.
Our Robotics team is organized into specialized roles, including leadership, project management, design and engineering, programming, outreach and marketing, with each group working collaboratively to build, program, and compete with the robot while fostering individual growth in STEM fields.
Our robotics team upholds core values of collaboration, innovation, integrity, excellence, learning, inclusivity, and community, fostering teamwork, creativity, and continuous growth while positively impacting our school and inspiring a passion for STEM.
Our robotics team has consistently excelled in regional and national competitions, earning numerous awards for innovation, design, and programming. We have successfully built and programmed robots that tackle complex challenges, demonstrated exceptional teamwork, and demonstrated leadership in both technical and outreach activities. Addi
Our robotics team has consistently excelled in regional and national competitions, earning numerous awards for innovation, design, and programming. We have successfully built and programmed robots that tackle complex challenges, demonstrated exceptional teamwork, and demonstrated leadership in both technical and outreach activities. Additionally, our team has fostered a culture of learning and inclusivity, mentoring younger students, hosting community events, and promoting STEM education within the school and local community
Plastic pollution is a significant global issue, especially in oceans, where over 11 million metric tons of plastic waste are dumped each year. This pollution harms marine life and enters the food chain through microplastics. By 2050, the amount of plastic in the ocean could surpass the number of fish. In the Philippines, plastic waste contributes to 24% of daily waste, with poor disposal practices exacerbating the problem. In 2019, the Philippines was the largest contributor to ocean plastic waste, and areas like Manila Bay are heavily polluted. Experts call for stricter waste management and regulations.
The "Youth for Dagat" program, part of Plastic Odyssey, is aimed at educating young people in the Philippines about the dangers of plastic waste and ways to protect the ocean. The P6 Robotics Team had the opportunity to visit the Plastic Odyssey ship, which tours the world to tackle plastic pollution. They explored the ship’s bridge, recycling workshop, and living spaces to learn about the recycling processes and waste reduction practices onboard. The team learned that the Philippines is one of the top countries contributing to ocean plastic pollution and saw firsthand the need for waste management solutions.
Inspired by their experiences and observations, the team visited Navotas City, where they saw the impact of marine pollution, especially plastic waste that washes ashore. This visit led them to develop a project focused on creating innovative ways to remove plastic waste from the ocean, aiming to protect marine life and promote a cleaner environment.
Andrea Faldas has a strong commitment to achieving the team’s goal, Andrea’s proactive approach since day one has been an integral part of the team’s research. Her resilience has proven that through hard work, anything can be done. Her drive to complete the task without constant supervision has also come in handy.
Andrea may just be a 10-year-old learner, but she gives thorough attention to detail in everything she does. She takes to heart all the tasks given to her with all seriousness. Being an efficient member of the team, she makes sure to maximize the use of their resources. Time and again, she has shown her willingness to continuously learn and develop as they go along.
Elijah Ismael Manuel as the Coder and Electrical Engineer of the robotics team, is knowledgeable in both low-level and high-level coding languages to program and test our innovation hardware. He can overcome the biggest challenge in programming through his expertise about how each component works and understand its characteristic curves. Elijah makes use of his wise stature to lead his group into cunning victory and experiences that bring people a step closer to a more innovative future.
But Elijah is more than just a robotics enthusiast—he’s a true problem-solver. Whether he’s debugging complex code or negotiating for five more minutes of game time, he thrives on finding solutions. He loves experimenting, building, and learning, always eager to push the boundaries of technology. .
Kenji S. Bautista is the team's Engineer and a valuable member of the research team, bringing both technical expertise and a creative flair to his work. From a young age, his passion for drawing ships, particularly the Titanic, sparked his artistic side, which has evolved into creating 3D models of various aircraft. Kenji's deep love for art reflects his compassionate nature, as he is known for his forgiving heart and ability to make friends wherever he goes. Always a giver, he finds joy in connecting with others and leaving a positive impact.
Nathan Villarin Empase, the team's Mission as a Researcher & Engineer, is known for his enthusiastic, creativity, kind, and respectful to others in team mates, coaches & trainers attitude. An open minded, & willingness to learn to others. With a humble heart , & Happy to Explore with an eagerness to gain more wisdom from Math ,& science, more exciting Experiment. Always excited to take on challenges, he never backs down from finding a solution. He is an optimistic person. He loves building robots, solving math problems, and reading, staying positive and always looking for ways to learn and grow! Thanks for the big Opportunity at Robotics team This is his steeping stone for his dream. Someday he want to become one of the Great Scientist or Engineer.
Linaiah Amethyst Flores is the team's communicator and researcher. Being a person with good mathematical skill and critical thinking, she has the urge to question some interesting topics and later discover the answers by herself using scientific methods and logical analysis. She then shares her discovery among peers with precise explanation and passionate tone. With these attributes, she is assigned the duty to research about the project and communicate the necessary reports among team members.
Mary Elizabeth A. Agustin as the Project Manager and Creative Designer of the robotics team, is a natural leader and go-getter.
